Walk 10x smarter - our 10 technologies for more wellbeing on the medical floor

The feeling of well-being of healthcare professionals on the medical floor can be improved! At Watts Footwear we are convinced that this starts with the perfect medical shoe! That is why we have developed (and extensively tested) a collection of innovative work shoes with 10 smart technologies for more hygiene, comfort, safety and design on the medical floor. Read below how Watts Footwear wants to improve the working lives of medical staff in hospitals and in healthcare institutions.

 

HYGIENE & INFECTION PREVENTION

Technology 1: antibacterial component MICROBAN

The medical shoes from Watts Footwear are injected with an antibacterial agent from Micorban that 
ensures that all bacteria that come into contact with the shoe are killed within 24 hours. This
antibacterial process continues indefinitely no matter how many washes the shoe has had.
Technology 2: hygienic design The medical shoes from Watts are designed to collect minimal dirt. A lot of care has been given to
the design of the soles that guarantees maximum grip and minimal infection contamination.
Technology 3: RFID technology Good to know is that the shoes are easily cleaned in a washing machine, but can also be chipped
(RFID technology) for centralized laundry management.
COMFORT Technology 4: perfect fit With Watts Footwear you walk on clouds! Using a database with more than ten thousand different
feet, we have designed a separate ladies' and gentlemen's shoe last.
Technology 5: removable and washable insoles And because we realize that nobody has the same feet, at Watts we have designed 4 different
washable insoles to optimize the fit and wearing comfort for everyone. Choose your ideal footbed

Technology 6: innovative lightweight material Watts shoes are manufactured in an extremely strong, but ultra-light plastic material. Ladies models
weigh between 230 and 240 grams and men's models between 320 and 340 grams!
SAFETY Technology 7 and 8: anti-slip and anti-static In order to prevent the chances of slipping and static shocks on the work floor, our medical shoes
meet the highest anti-slip and anti-static basic conditions for safety shoes. Anti-slip standard: CE EN
20347 SRA and Antistatic standard: CE EN 20347
DESIGN Technology 9: an award-winning design Watts Footwear pays a lot of care and attention to design. In order to guarantee a perfect fit and
contemporary appearance, the design was outsourced to engineering firm Berlo from Eindhoven,
which also worked for Maxi Cosi. Watts Footwear was awarded a "Good Industrial Design" award
during the Dutch Design Week 2017.
Technology 10: choice of materials The chosen plastic material is not only lightweight but also very soft which ensures a pleasant look
and feel.
